It runs in the family!
Here we are three generations of dirt digging, seed growing; flower planting, garden loving Kennedy's.
Not sure if I had much influence on any of my kids or not but Damion did catch the love of landscaping that I grew up with. My mom had the greenest of green thumbs and could make anything grow. I grew up digging in the garden, planting and watching things grow and now that torch passes on to my son Damion and his son Lucas.
Lucas watches me carefully as I divide some lillies I dug in my garden and took to Sheridan to plant in Damion's flower beds. He would have grabbed it and put it in his mouth in a heartbeat so grannie had to be careful.
This is Damion and his son Lucas. I love their matching hats. Lucas is already by his dad's side helping with the landscape business. And no, I'm not kidding he rides in the truck with Damion and visits some of Damion's lawns that he works on or just goes to Home Depot to shop.
Lucas' cousins Jaxon and Cash thought about joining in. Jaxon loves to plant and helps me in the yard almost every week. Right now we have peas growing and he is going to make me pea soup when we have some produce. Cash doesn't care so much yet for the grass, it tickles him and he isn't so sure he even likes to touch it yet. But he will........soon he will be digging in my flower beds or maybe picking my flowers. Doesn't matter to me as long as I get to spend time with the grannies in the garden.

Tree.....mendous!
Joining Tootsie and Fertilizer Friday today - if you want to see some awesome flowers stop by her blog and check it out. AMAZING is all that I can say. I am so envious of her greenhouse that I had to sop up the droll from my keyboard. I don't have much to flaunt but I do so enjoy my trees so I decided to show them off. Most of all I just love looking at everyone's blogs and their beautiful flowers.
I love spring, I think it is the best time for trees to strut their stuff. Sure wish those oh so pretty blooms would stick around a lot longer. My new crabapple tree is putting on a show despite the fact she is just a little thing.
My old cherry tree "Jeremy" always fills its branches with white blossoms. He is just beginning to open some of those pretty blooms. In full bloom the tree is absolutely beautiful and when he is all done blooming a light wind will make my yard look like it is snow, pretty in itself. And the smell -- wow, my back yard smells like a big perfume bottle.
I think this is a currant bush of sorts, I can't get rid of it so I just enjoy it. This little yellow beauty can really make my yard smell wonderful!
Not the best of photos but it shows the pretty little orange insides of the bloom on yet another cherry tree in the back yard.
These trees all just give me so much joy, now in their flowering glory, during the summer as it shades me while I sitting in my lounge chair, provides not only me with its fruit for jellys but keeps the birdies little tummies full and then later their last show of golden red, oranges, browns and yellows. I wish I had acres to plant trees and enjoy all that beauty.

Take Me Out To The ........... Garden!
My little greenhouse is just bursting with color and ready to be planted in the garden but looking at the forecast I think we had better spend a little more time inside.
No, I didn't plant all of these pretty blooming flowers, just a few, the rest I bought and now we are waiting, waiting, waiting, for some warmer weather.
I like to shop early and get the plants just as they come into the store and then keep them in my little greenhouse. I have just a few things that I planted for myself as I procrastinated about getting seeds, dirt, etc. However, whenever I am around a greenhouse I stop and shop and then bring them home for some TLC. Some I plant in large pots so they get a good start on the season.I did plant some true blue Forget-me-nots as recommended by my blogging buddies after this post. Remember it? Not sad...just feeling blue! I have all these beautiful almost blue flowers blooming but not any really blue, and thanks to many comments I found the true blue flower. Can't wait to see it blooming. They sure are looking good in the greenhouse.
Here they are my little blue buddies........my fingers are just itching to get them into the ground. We will be good and wait for warmer weather. I promise!
Hope everyone is enjoying the spring days! Happy Gardening All!
